TD Baltic: a B2B portal for 2,000+ resellers running directly on the ERP

TD Baltic is an IT and home electronics wholesaler that has supplied authorised IT resellers across all three Baltic states for 30 years. Opus Online built TD Online, a new B2B portal integrated directly with the company’s ERP, Oracle E-Business Suite.
More than 2,000 business partners now handle their daily purchasing in the portal themselves, quickly. We continue to develop the portal together with TD Baltic.
- 2000+business partners on the portal
- 3Baltic states
- 4portal languages
The challenge
Resellers ordered through an online store on an outdated platform that no longer met expectations in technology or user experience.
- The online store had fallen behind. The old store was outdated both technically and in user experience. Daily purchasing wasn’t as fast and simple as business partners needed.
- Reservations went through staff. To reserve stock, customers had to contact a TD Baltic employee. That cost time for both the customer and the sales team.
- Data had to come straight from the ERP. Prices, stock, credit limits, orders and invoices live in Oracle E-Business Suite. The portal had to show them correctly and send orders back with no manual work.
- Sales couldn’t stop. Moving to the new system could not interrupt daily ordering for thousands of partners.
The solution
We built the new portal on top of the existing database so the old system could be replaced step by step.
A portal running directly on Oracle E-Business Suite
The portal is integrated directly with TD Baltic’s ERP, Oracle E-Business Suite: prices, stock levels, credit limits, orders and invoices come straight from the ERP, and confirmed orders reach the ERP with no manual work.
To keep sales running throughout, we built the new solution on top of the existing database. This let the old system be replaced gradually, without a single big-bang cutover.
ERP integration:
- customer-specific prices and stock straight from the ERP
- credit limits and overdue invoices
- automatic order transfer to the ERP
- invoices and order history
- gradual migration on the existing database
Reseller self-service and reservations
In the portal, resellers see their customer-specific prices, search and compare products, share carts with colleagues and import larger orders from Excel. From the same place they track orders and invoices and file warranty claims. The customer company’s administrator manages their own users and permissions.
With self-service reservations, customers turn a cart into a reservation themselves. The system automatically checks the credit limit and overdue invoices, sends a reminder before a reservation expires and flags any price change in the meantime. The portal is available in four languages and protected by multi-factor authentication, including passkeys.
Portal features:
- product search and comparison
- shared carts
- order import from Excel
- self-service reservations with automatic checks
- warranty claims
- customer-side user and permission management
- multi-factor authentication and passkeys
The result
The result is a modern, secure sales channel that saves time for both resellers and TD Baltic’s sales team. We continue to develop the portal together with TD Baltic.
