Online pharmacies and stores
We build online pharmacies and other complex stores where a large catalogue, pharmacy and central warehouse availability, sales and delivery rules and campaigns make sense to the user.
Opus develops online pharmacies, B2B ordering portals, self-service portals and custom software for pharmacies and healthcare companies. We help create modern digital services where complex business logic is clear and easy to use.
We are the long-term technical partner of Magnum, the largest pharmaceutical group in the Baltics, from the Apotheka online pharmacy to the group’s intranet.
For pharmacies and healthcare companies we do four kinds of work. An online store is one of them; software that supports the company’s services and internal workflows matters just as much.
We build online pharmacies and other complex stores where a large catalogue, pharmacy and central warehouse availability, sales and delivery rules and campaigns make sense to the user.
We build self-service portals and customer accounts where business customers such as clinics order faster than by phone, and consumers manage their own data and services.
We develop software that off-the-shelf products do not cover: intranets, training and staff management systems, and tools that support internal workflows.
We connect solutions to prescription, warehouse, product information, payment, delivery, customer and other business systems, so data moves between systems automatically.
A healthcare solution brings strict requirements and complex business logic together: selling prescription medicines and identifying the buyer, protecting health data, pharmacy and central warehouse availability, sales and delivery rules for different product types, and several external information systems. What matters to us is that every part works reliably while staying easy to use.
That is why we look at the solution as a whole: how information moves, where availability comes from, which rules affect a purchase, an order or a service, and how all of this comes together in the user journey. We design the technical architecture and the user interface to support the same logic rather than work separately.
We are the long-term technical partner of Magnum, the largest pharmaceutical group in the Baltics. We develop the Apotheka online pharmacies in three countries and the Magnum VET B2B ordering platform, and we have built the group’s intranet. We have worked with systems where the online store and self-service are closely tied to the company’s other business-critical services.
Our team includes analysts, UX designers, developers, testers and a support team. That lets us be your partner throughout the development process, from preliminary analysis and design to development, testing and maintenance.
Pharmacy retail is one of the most strictly regulated areas of e-commerce. Prescription medicines require secure identification, and purchase data may contain special categories of health data. Magnum operates in three countries with different identification, payment and legal requirements.
We built the solution that runs apotheka.ee, apotheka.lv, apotheka.lt, apothekabeauty.ee and hills.ee: one Magento 2 backend and a separate React frontend. Opus develops, operates and secures the platform day to day.
In healthcare we are Magnum’s long-term development partner: the Apotheka online pharmacies, the Magnum VET B2B ordering platform and the group’s intranet.

No. An online pharmacy is one solution among many. For pharmacies and healthcare companies we also build B2B ordering portals, self-service portals, intranets and other custom software, and integrate them with existing business systems.
Buying prescription medicines requires secure identification, and purchase data may contain special categories of health data. We use country-specific e-identity solutions, anonymise health data in analytics, and protect the solution with a web application firewall and continuous security monitoring. Opus’s information security management system is ISO 27001 certified.
Yes. We bring solutions in line with WCAG as needed, so people using assistive technology can use them too. The Apotheka online pharmacy we develop meets WCAG 2.1 AA.
We choose the technology to fit the solution, not the other way round. Complex e-commerce is often built on Magento 2 with a Next.js or React frontend. Self-service portals and custom software we build with React, Next.js and Node.js, for example.
Yes. We start by reviewing the code and infrastructure and give you a clear picture of what is in order, what needs fixing and what is critical. Then we agree on maintenance and further development.
